Chandragiri Hills

Chandragiri Hills Chandragiri hills is the place located in the south western part of Kathmandu valley. It is only seven kilometers from Thankot. It is lise in the Chandragiri VDC. It is famous for breath taking view of kathmandu along with the Himalayan range. The temple is the main attraction for the pilgrims visiting the place. Previously people need to walk or go via the vehicles to visit the place. Now, due to the establishment of cable car, people can travel to the top of hill via cable car with an ease. Markhu

MARKHU If you are searching for a place near to Kathmandu for a ride or a place to hang out in the lap of hills along with the lake then Markhu is the appropriate place to travel. Markhu is located to south-western side of Kathmandu. It is about 70 KM away from the Kathmandu valley. Since the road is not good it will take around 4 hours drive from Kathmandu. The way of transportation can be cars or bikes. We can go from Kirtipur following the way to Dakshinkali to reack Markhu. Even we can hike from Chandragiri to Markhu if you are interested in hiking.
