Bandipur

Bandipur is a small,clean and beautiful city of the Newar community whic lies on the top of the hill. It lies on the western side of the Kathmandu valley. It is about 138 kilometers away from the capital. The main attraction of this place is a beautiful city of the Newar people which are decades old. This place has the typical Nepali houses along with various Temples. The generous people and great hospitality for the tourist here is one of the good things about this place. Various hotels and lodges are there where we can stay over the night. There are some houses providing home stay facility too. The city comes alive in the night time. In the night people place tables and chairs along the street and serve foods there. It's a romantic place during night since most of the restaurants serve a candle light dinner for the visitors.

This place is not only famous for the city. There are hills for hiking and cycling which is also the another source of attraction. Also a cave near by adds to the beauty of this place. Not only the tourists from abroad enjoy the place but also a lot of internal tourist visit the place. The number of people visiting the place is increasing over the time. The best time to go to the place is during winter and spring season.
